The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the island of Hawaii in Hawaii County until 930 PM HST
At 730 PM HST… radar indicated several areas of heavy rain along the Big Island leeward coast from near Kawaihae to Waikoloa beach resort to Holualoa. These areas of heavy rain were nearly stationary. Minor flooding can be expected in the advisory area due to local rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to: Kailua-Kona… Captain Cook… Puuanahulu… Waikoloa beach resort… Kalaoa… Honalo… Kona Village resort and Saddle Road Junction.
