The County Elections Office will be conducting in-person registration on the Big Island this Wednesday, July 8, and Thursday, July 9.
Anybody who has not yet registered may register in person at the following locations, where they may fill out their Voter Registration Application:
Hilo: 744 Kamehameha Ave., Hilo (corner of Pauahi St. and Kamehameha Ave., where the former gas station is located)
Pahoa: Malama Market, Pahoa
Kona: Safeway, at Kona Crossroads
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Because of COVID-19 precautions it will be helpful if people bring their own pen.
People may also register online and get more information at elections.hawaii.gov
This election will be an all-mail election, which was decided long before the COVID-19 emergency. Ballots will be in the mail July 21, and must be mailed back in order to reach the County Elections Office by Saturday, August 8.
