3586 New COVID Cases Reported Across the State

The State Department of Health reports 3586 new cases of coronavirus with 3 new COVID-19 related deaths.  The following data includes confirmed and probable cases up until Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  Full data is posted on the State COVID-19 dashboard and on the DOH Disease Outbreak & Control Division website: hawaiicovid19.com/dashboard.

 

 

 

 

STATEWIDE COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases  134,442

New Cases: 3586

Deaths: 1,101

Daily Case Average: 2862

Current Hospitalizations: 248

Positivity Rate: 19.4%

Fatality Rate: .8%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 34,373

 

The DOH reports 286 new cases of coronavirus with 2 new COVID-19 related deaths on Hawaiʻi Island.

 

HAWAIʻI ISLAND COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases: 14,979

New Cases: 286

Deaths: 155

Daily Case Average: 254

Current Hospitalizations: 27

Positivity Rate: 18.5%

Fatality Rate: 1%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 2698

 

Kauaʻi

New COVID Cases: 237

Total COVID Case Count: 4902

 

Maui

New COVID Cases: 610

Total COVID Case Count: 15,097

 

Oʻahu

New COVID Cases: 2387

Total COVID Case Count: 95,627
