Beginning August 1, Mokulele Airlines will indefinitely suspend daily flights between Hilo and Kahului.

Mokulele will redeploy these aircrafts to add a new non-stop evening flight between Kona and Kahului in addition to providing further service to Molokaʻi.

The airline increased its service between Hilo and Kahului during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when Hawaiian Airlines suspended its non-stop service to Maui. As Hawaiian Airlines flights have resumed, Mokulele has seen a decrease in Hilo customers.

Passengers that currently have reservations after August 1, 2023 will be offered refunds, or will be accommodated by Mokulele on Hawaiian Airlines free of charge.
