Police Continue Search for Missing Elderly Kea’au Man

Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for information on the disappearance of 76-year-old William Romeo Bishop Sr., who was last seen near his home in the Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision, in Kea‘au on January 22, 2023.

He is described as Caucasian with a light complexion, 5 feet 8 inches in height , weighing 170 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes.  His 2019 Toyota Corolla has since been recovered and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the vehicle being located.

Bishop’s family is deeply concerned and offering a cash reward for information that may lead to his whereabouts.
 
Police are asking anyone who may have information on Bishop’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Detective Scotty Aloy of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2381 or via email at Scotty.Aloy@hawaiicounty.gov.
