Backstreet Boys’ member Nick Carter and his sister Angel have filed a restraining order against their brother Aaron Carter following his recent gun confessions.
Nick filed for the protection order alleging Aaron had made threats against his pregnant wife, Lauren Kitt, and their unborn child. Nick tweeted: “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today. In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”
Aaron also took to Twitter and confirmed he’d received the restraining order, adding: “Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life. I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend (to)… You should send a cease and desist while you’re at it too.”
Aaron Carter was recently diagnosed with several mental health illnesses, including schizophrenia and anxiety. He cancelled his upcoming tour to work on his health.
