Hawaii State Senator Clarence Nishihara has tested positive for COVID-19, according to House Speaker Scott Saiki.  Nishihara is the first Hawaii State legislator known to have COVID-19.

Saiki has announced that the State Capitol is now closed.  The legislative session has been suspended, and Saiki says the session will resume no sooner than April 5, 2020.
