Hawaii has 258 confirmed cases–34 more

The State Department of Health reports that as of noon on Wednesday, April 1, there are 258 confirmed  cases of COVID-19, an increase of 34 confirmed cases in 24 hours.  DOH provides an updated report at noon every day.

 

DOH notes 31 total  cases are “pending,” which includes 13 in the past 24 hours.  These  are cases under investigation and will  be assigned  to the appropriate categories—Hawaii residents, non-Hawaii residents, and on which island—as the investigation progresses.

 

Hawaii Island has had 2 more cases, both Big Island residents, for a total of 17 per the DOH numbers.  Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim has released information that the Big Island has 21 cases.

*includes presumptive and confirmed cases, data are preliminary and subject to change; note that CDC provides case counts according to states of residence.

†Pending cases are reclassified to appropriate categories as more information is collected

††Isolation should be maintained until at least 3 days (72 hours) after resolution of fever and myalgia without the use of antipyretics OR at least 7 days have passed since symptom onset, whichever is longer.
