Hawaii County Civil Defense’s  COVID-19 dashboard as of Friday morning, April 3, shows  that the county has 24 cumulative cases of COVID-19.  Nine are active and the individuals are being monitored by the State Department of Health.    Anybody who has an active case  is required to be quarantined until the DOH deems them as recovered, which usually means  two”negative ” COVID-19 tests.

There are 15 people who are considered to be recovered, defined as  individuals who no longer are symptomatic and have displayed no symptoms over a 72 hour period.

The Hawaii County Civil Defense website notes that the figures posted on its site may differ from the official State Department of Health statistics.  DOH has said they continue to investigate all cases.
