Hawaii Island Food Basket has food drive-thru sites islandwide

The Hawaii Island Food Basket has a number of sites where they are distributing food.  All sites are drive-thru only, and workers will put the food in your car.

 

 

 

East Hawaii:
Keaau | Keaau High School: 1st Tuesday (May 5) | 10:00am
Hilo | Hilo Civic Center: 2nd Wednesday (May 13) 10:00am
Pahoa | Pahoa Community Center: 3rd Friday (April 17) 10:00am
Papaaloa | Papaaloa Gym: 4th Friday (April 24) 10:00am
Honokaa | Honokaa Gym: 4th Friday (April 24) 12:00pm
Pahala | Kau District Gym: 4th Tuesday (April 28) 10:00am
Mt. View | Mt. View Elementary: Last Wednesday (April 29) 10:00am
Volcano | Volcano Cooper Center: Last Wednesday (April 29) 1:00pm

West Hawaii:
Naalehu | Naalehu Hongwanji: 1st Monday (May 4) 10:00am
Ocean View | Kahuku Park: 2nd Tuesday (May 12) 10:00am
Kohala | Sacred Hearts Hawi: 3rd Monday (April 20) 10:00am
Kona | Old Airport Road: 3rd Friday (April 17) 10:00am
Waimea | Church Row – Kokua Ministries: 1st Wednesday (May 6) 10:00am

The Hawaii Island Food Basket encourages people — if you or someone you know, is experiencing food insecurity, please call 933-6030 or use the contact form on their site to send a message.

While the Food Basket is no longer accepting direct food donations because of COVID-19, they desperately need monetary donations, which may be done by mailing a check to Hawaii Island Food Basket at 40 Holomua St., Hilo, HI  96720,  or online at https://www.hawaiifoodbasket.org/donate-1
