Legislative Virtual Town Hall tonight at 7 p.m.

The Big Island’s East Hawaii legislators are banding together this evening at 7 p.m. for a Virtual Town Hall on Facebook Live.

Participants include State Senator Russel Ruderman; State Representatives Joy San Buenaventura, Mark Nakashima, Richard Onishi, and Chris Todd; and County Council Members Aaron Chung, Matt Kaneali’i Kleinfelder, Ashley Kierkiewicz, Sue Lee Loy, and Valerie Poindexter.   General Kenneth Hara, head of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, or HIEMA, will also participate.  State Senator Kai Kahele is on active duty with the Hawaii National Guard.

The event will be available on any of the participants’ Facebook pages.  You may also submit questions that way.

On Wednesday, April 29, the West Hawaii State Senators, State Representatives, and County Council members held a similar update.  It may be viewed through any of the West Hawaii legislators’ Facebook pages (State Senators Dru Mamo Kanuha or Lorraine Inouye; State Representatives Nicole Lowen and David Tarnas; and County Council members Maile David, Karen Eoff, Tim Richards, and Rebecca Villegas.  Lt. Governor Dr. Josh Green participated as well.
