State adds only 1 case, on O’ahu

The Hawaii State Department of Health says there is 1 new confirmed case of COVID-19 on O’ahu. The State’s count is now 626.  Hawaii County has 74 cumulative cases, and State Department of Health says 66 have been released by DOH–so 8 active cases on the island.  The State has had no additional deaths and it stands at 17.

Tuesday night, Governor David Ige issued a Seventh Emergency Proclamation allowing several businesses to reopen, as long as they put hygiene measures and social distancing measures in place.  Businesses may reopen Thursday morning at 12:01 a.m.

‡One case is a Lanai resident who’s exposure is on Maui Island and who will be remaining on Maui Island for the interim.
