Hawaii State Department of Health reports that Hawaii has added 3 to its case count for COVID-19, bringing the state to 631, with 551 released from isolation (ie State DOH is no longer monitoring because they’ve passed the recommended CDC time for monitoring, have left the jurisdiction, or have passed away) .
DOH says it removed one from Honolulu’s count entirely (which would explain the total number of 631), and removed one from Honolulu’s count and reassigned it to Hawaii Island. Maui County has one new case, and one Hawaii resident who is out of state has been confirmed with COVID-19. So far, 11 out-of-state Hawaii residents are in the state’s count.
DOH on Friday reported that out of Honolulu’s cases, 385 had been “released from isolation.” That count is now down to 375, and DOH says they’ve removed from the count those who have died or left the jurisdiction. Maui County’s “released from isolation” went from 93 to 88.
The state report still shows 17 deaths. DOH says 11 were on O’ahu, and 6 on Maui.
On Hawaii Island, State DOH reports a total of 75 cases with 68 released from isolation.
