US tops 110,000 deaths –Hawaii adds 18 cases in last two days

The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Sunday morning, June 7, at 7:33 a.m.:

Worldwide cases:  6,952,505    Worldwide deaths:   401,087

U.S. cases: 1,927,428   U.S. deaths:  110,028

According to the Dashboard, the United States has added 19,193  cases in the last 24 hours, and deaths attributed to COVID-19 have increased by 585.

Hawaii saw an increase of 9 cases on both Friday and Saturday.   Of the 9 cases on Saturday, State Health Department reports that 1 is a Hawaii resident who was diagnosed in Alaska, 6 are the members of one family, and 2 are in another family, both families in Waipahu.

The state also reports that there are now 3 cases in workers at senior living facilities.

The state’s total case count now is 673.  Hawaii deaths stand at 17.  The Big Island has no active cases, with 81 cumulative.
