The state has 4 new cases of COVID-19, all on O’ahu. That means  that since Friday, the state has added 31 new cases of COVID-19–most on O’ahu.  Today’s cases included 3 children in one family that already had a confirmed case, and one was the result of community screening in low income housing, according to State Department of Health Director Bruce Anderson.

State officials said some of the cases starting last Friday were clustered in two families living in Waipahu–6 in one family, 2 in another.  There have been 3 known cases in workers at senior living facilities–2 at Kalakaua Gardens, an assisted living facility in Waikiki, and one at Maunalani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The count for O’ahu actually shows 3, not 4, as the State DOH says they removed one  from the count due to updated testing information. The Big Island has no active cases, with 81 cumulative.  Mayor Kim said Tuesday evening that it’s been more than 2 weeks since the island had an active case.

The State DOH data is below:

*Positive cases include presumptive and confirmed cases, and Hawaii residents and non-residents; data are preliminary and subject to change. Note that CDC provides case counts according to states of residence.

†Includes cases that meet isolation release criteria (Isolation should be maintained until at least 3 days (72 hours) after resolution of fever and myalgia without the use of antipyretics OR at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset, whichever is longer). (The cases that have died and one case that has left the jurisdiction have been removed from these counts).

‡One case is a Lanai resident whose exposure is on Maui Island and who will be remaining on Maui Island for the interim.

††As a result of updated testing information, one case was removed from the counts.
