The Hawaii Island Food Basket will distribute food today in Kona in the parking lot of the Kona Gym and Pool and Friday at the Pahoa Community Center. The food distribution will begin at 10 a.m. Anybody who needs the food is invited.
Food Basket Executive Director Kristin Frost Albrecht asks those coming to have space in their trunk or back seat for the food. She also says car pooling for more than one family is fine, to reduce traffic. The food drop will go til noon or til the food supply is depleted. She says the Food Basket will continue to do the food drops until they’re no longer needed.
