The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Friday morning, June 19, at 7:33 a.m.:

Worldwide cases:  8,546,919   Worldwide deaths:  456,726

U.S. cases: 2,203,659    U.S. deaths:  118,695

According to the Dashboard, the United States has added 29,855 cases in the last 23 hours, and deaths attributed to COVID-19 have increased by 666.  The case count is higher than the two-week average of around 20,000, and the death count is around average.

Arizona cases jumped by more than 3,000 in the last day, and its ICU bed utilization is now over 80%.

Because of concerns over spikes in cases of COVID-19, Apple Computer announced it is closing several stores in Naples, FL; Charlotte, NC;  and Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ.

Hawaii has 762 cumulative cases, according to the State Department of Health, which is low compared to states on the mainland.  However, since June 1, the state has added 110 cases, after a month of increases that were sometimes zero, and always in low single digits.  A big concern is that now there are reportedly at least 10 cases in patients or staff at the Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, the first such outbreak in a nursing home in Hawaii.
