High school grads invited to get grad packs in Hilo

High school’s graduating seniors are invited to come today, Saturday June 20, to the Hilo YMCA and pick up a grad pack.   More than 25 local businesses donated items or money to provide goody bags for graduating seniors.   Any Hawaii Island senior that just graduated is invited to come, and bring your diploma or high school I.D.  The distribution is at the Hilo YMCA on Lanikaula Street, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There will also be live music by Siaka Faleta and Naea Kaupua.

Organizer Kamaka Diaz said this is one small way to add joy to what has been a very strange year and has stopped traditional graduation rites.
