There are a few food/meal options in Kailua Kona this week, for people who need food.

Tuesday:  Pick up a box or bag of produce at La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 at the La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 Community Center, 74-5210 Keanalehu Drive, just above Kealakehe High School, starting at 5 p.m.

Tuesday:  Boxed hot meals and food baskets will be distributed every Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 6:30 (or as supplies last) at Kealakehe Elementary School “drop off” parking lot.  Rotary Club of Kona is sponsoring this and will continue to do so every Tuesday.

Thursday: La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 will distribute “Make your own meal” ingredients, for people to pick up and take home and cook a meal with their family.  This week, it’s ingredients and a recipe for spaghetti with meat sauce and fresh bread, serving 6 to 8 people.  Pick up at 5 p.m. at La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 Community Center, 74-5210 Keanalehu Drive, just above Kealakehe High School.
