State House COVID Committee online/on TV today at 10 a.m.

This morning at 10 a.m.,  there will be a briefing by members of the House Select Committee on COVID-19 Economic and Financial Preparedness.  It will focus on Hawai‘i’s current medical and economic status, its prognosis, and recommendations to re-set the state’s course.  The chair of the Committee is House Speaker Scott Saiki.

The discussion topics and leaders will be:

  • Current medical status:     Ray Vara, Mark Mugiishi
  • Current economic status:  Carl Bonham
  • Prognosis:                            Ray Vara, Mark Mugiishi, Carl Bonham
  • Recommendations:           Ray Vara, Dr. Mark Mugiishi, Peter Ho,  Micah Kane

 

Carl Bonham, Executive Director of the University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization (UHERO)

Peter Ho, House Select Committee Co-chair and President & CEO, Bank of Hawai‘i

Micah Kane, President & CEO, Hawai‘i Community Foundation

Dr. Mark Mugiishi, President & CEO, Hawai‘i Medical Service Association

Ray Vara, President & CEO, Hawai‘i Pacific Health
