Hawaii State Department of Health says the state has 248 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today as of noon.  The state’s cumulative case count is 6,600, with the number of active cases at more than 4,410.  The state’s release said it has removed 3 cases from Honolulu’s count and 1 from Maui County’s count because of updated information.

The state’s death toll from COVID-19 remains at 47, with no new reported today.

Hawaii County’s cumulative case count is now 200 cases, up from 192 yesterday.  With the 8 additional cases, the number of known active cases on the Big Island is 59, according to the State Department of Health.   As of Saturday afternoon there were 6 people in Hilo Medical Center with COVID-19.
