U.S. has 6.7 M cases, more than 198,000 deaths

The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Saturday, September 19, at 5:22 a.m.:

Worldwide cases:   30,566,740     Worldwide deaths: 953,072

U.S. cases:    6,730,653   U.S. deaths:  198,682

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 325,363 in the last 24 hours.  Deaths worldwide increased by  5,806.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 49,402 cases in the last 24 hours.  In that time,  the number of reported deaths from  COVID-19 increased by 919.

In Hawaii, the total case count is 11,217. The total number of active cases is around 6,849.

The Big Island has 632 total cases. There are around 180 active cases.

The island has suffered 20 deaths from COVID-19.  There are 15 patients with COVID-19 at Hilo Medical Center.
