Kona = 141 new cases in past month–Hilo 117 — New? 14

The Big Island has 14 new cases of COVID-19, and the state has 73 new cases as of noon today.  The state now has 13,371 total cases, with around 2,490 active cases.

The center of the Big Island’s outbreaks has shifted from the East side to the West side.  As of today’s update, the Kailua Kona zip code, 96720, has had 141 new cases in the past 28 days.  The Hilo zip code 96740 has had 117 new cases in the past 28 days.  The island has around 197 active cases with 924 total.

The Big Island has lost 37 people to COVID-19, although the state only shows 15 of the island’s death in its official count.

Total Cases: 397
Released from Isolation: 365

Deaths: 12
