The Johns Hopkins COVID Dashboard for Sunday, November 29 at 5:25 a.m.:

Worldwide cases:  62,393,754   Worldwide deaths: 1,455,030

U.S. cases: 13,251,540   U.S. deaths: 266,119

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 575,406  in the last 24 hours.  Deaths worldwide increased by 9,115.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 151.154 cases in the last 24 hours.

The COVID Tracking Project reports that 91,635 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of yesterday.  Previous high hospitalization rates in April and July were just under 60,000.   Hospitalizations are a major concern nationwide as some hospitals are running out of space due to an influx of patients with severe cases of COVID-19.  The most recent report from Hilo Medical Center on Friday was that they had no COVID-19 patients and had not had any since last Monday.  As of last Wednesday, Kona Community Hospital reported 2 COVID-19 patients, with one of them in the ICU but not on a ventilator.  North Hawaii Community Hospital is providing no information, saying it’s a matter of patient privacy.

In the last day,  the number of reported deaths in the U.S. from  COVID-19 increased by 1,194.
