Last Food Basket distribution of year tomorrow, Volcano

The last food distribution by the Hawaii Island Food Basket for this year is tomorrow, Wednesday, at Volcano’s Cooper Center, from 10 a.m. until noon, or as long as food supplies last.

As always, those who need food are invited to come.  Volunteers will place the food in your vehicle, so have a clear space in the back seat or trunk.

There is more information about the Food Basket and how you can help, with monetary or garden produce or food donations through a local grocer, at their web site, hawaiifoodbasket.org

Food drops will begin again on January 12, 2021.  Below is the schedule through January.

Waimea | Waimea District Park | Tuesday, January 12 | 10am

Hilo | Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium | Wednesday, January 13 | 10am

Naalehu | Naalehu Hongwanji Temple | Friday, January 15 | 10am

Kona | Old Kona Airport Pavilion | Thursday, January 21 | 10am

Pahoa | Pahoa Community Center | Friday, January 22 | 10am

Waikoloa | Kamakoa Nui Skate Park | Tuesday, January 26 | 10am

Volcano | Cooper Center | Wednesday, January 27 | 10am

Ocean View | Kahuku Park | Thursday, January 28 | 10am

Honokaa | Honokaa Sports Complex & Skate Park | Friday, January 29 | 10am
