As of 5:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2021, The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 dashboard reports the following information. 

 Global Cases – 100,986,160      Global Deaths – 2,177,611

U.S. Cases – 25,599,611      U.S. Deaths – 429,214

In the last 24 hours, the U.S. death count has increased by 3,957.  This news follows yesterdayʻs White House briefing where experts projected 90,000 U.S. COVID-19 casualties in the next 4 weeks.
