This month the Hawaiʻi Island Police Department will be holding talk story sessions with members of the community.

“Coffee with a Cop” allows residents the opportunity to get to know their police officers over a cup of coffee. These events have no specific agenda.  Conversation topics can range from personal stories to neighborhood issues.

This month’s events will take place from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the following locations:

  • Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive.
  • Friday, February 26, 2021, at Kona Coffee & Tea, 74-5588 Palani Road.

To stick with safety protocols, officers will adhere to all social distancing guidelines including maintaining a 6 foot distance and mask wearing. They will also be restricting access when maximum capacity is reached. In addition, tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.

Events are subject to change with regard to COVID-19 restrictions and/ or additional proclamations issued by county and state government.

Contact Kona Community Policing at (808) 326-4646 ext. 257, 258, or 259 with any questions.
