U.S. Cases – 30,708,630   U.S. Deaths – 555,021

A new double mutant variant of the coronavirus, which first emerged in India, has been discovered in The San Francisco Bay Area.  The strain could be more infectious because it carries two mutations in the virus that helps it latch onto cells.
