Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public for help assisting them identify four persons of interest for theft and related incidents that occurred at a hotel on Waikoloa Beach Drive in South Kohala.

On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, hotel security staff reported that several items had been stolen and damage to hotel property had occurred the previous night. Video surveillance showed a man removing a sign from a wall and concealing the item within a bag. The man was in the company of three other men and a woman. Upon further review of the video surveillance, the same man was observed removing a decorative vase/urn cover. Hotel security were able to determine that an additional sign and a decorative fish were also removed.

Anyone with information about the identity of the persons of interest is asked to contact Detective Kimmerlyn Makuakane-Jarrell, Area II Criminal Investigations Section, at (808) 326-4646 ext. 262 or via email at Kimmerlyn.Makuakane-Jarrell@hawaiicounty.gov.
