The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) closed the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher program on Friday, April 7, 2021.  There were a total of 2587 pre-applications.

Due to limited funding availability, 647 pre-applications were selected randomly using a lottery system. Only those 647 pre-applications were placed on the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list. Placement on the waiting list does not indicate that a family is, in fact, eligible for assistance. A final determination of eligibility will be made when the family is selected from the waiting list.

The order of selection of HCV pre-applications was based on the following OHCD preferences:

  • Families with Minor Children – 316
  • Elderly – 73
  • Disability – 234
  • Involuntarily Displaced – 0
