Police Identify Woman Who Died in Moped Crash

Hawai’i Island police have identified the woman who died following a single vehicle collision that occurred on Monday June 14, 2021 on Government Beach Road in in Puna as 49-year-old Fawn K. Jost, of Pāhoa.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, but police are awaiting the toxicology results before making a final determination.

The East Hawai’i Traffic Enforcement Unit has initiated a Coroner’s Inquest investigation which remains pending. If anyone witnessed the accident or has information you may contact Officer Blayne Matsui at (808) 961-2339 or via email at Blayne.Matsui@HawaiiCounty.gov.
