Hawaiʻi Rainbow Rangers (HRR), is asking the public to consider fostering or adopting the over 140 dogs and 200 cats they now have available as three of the organization’s Hawaiʻi Island locations are at complete capacity.

In order to avoid euthanizing these animals, HRR has indefinitely reduced adoption fees to $25 for each dog or cat. All animals adopted or fostered from HRR are spayed or neutered and have up-to-date immunizations. To adopt an animal or ask questions about pet adoption or fostering, call (808) 913-5397 or email adopt@hipets.org.

To view dogs that are available for adoption, visit: www.hipets.org/adoptabledogs. Adoptable cats can be viewed by visiting: www.hipets.org/adoptacat.

The three HRR shelters are located at:

  • Kona: 74-5225 Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy., Kailua-Kona, HI 96740
  • Waimea: 67-1611 Hawaii Belt Rd., Waimea, HI 96743
  • Keaau (just south of Hilo): 16-266 Kipimana St., Keaau, HI 96749
