Department of Public Safety Releases New COVID-19 Update

The State Department of Public Safety has released new COVID-19 test results for prisons across the state as well as the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ.   The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Kauai Community Correctional Center – 59 inmate test results: 15 positive, 44 negative. 1 additional positive inmate is noted as tested positive in the community prior to intake in KCCC. 14 inmates have recovered, bringing the total active positive inmate count to 35.  1 positive staff test result was also reported.

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 17 inmate test results: 10 positive, 7 negative.  1 positive staff test result received and 1 employee has recovered.

Halawa Correctional Facility – 3 inmate test results: 2 positive, 1 negative.  2 positive staff test results.

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – 7 negative inmate test results.
