DOH Reports 720 New Statewide COVID Cases

The State Department of Health reports 720 new cases of coronavirus.  The following data includes confirmed and probable cases up until Saturday, August 28, 2021.  Full data is posted on the State COVID-19 dashboard and on the DOH Disease Outbreak & Control Division website: hawaiicovid19.com/dashboard.

 

 

 

 

STATEWIDE COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases  62,949

New Cases: 720

Deaths: 589

Daily Case Average: 874

Current Hospitalizations: 429

Positivity Rate: 8%

Fatality Rate: .9%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 10,946

 

The DOH reports 139 new cases of coronavirus and no new COVID-19 related deaths on Hawaiʻi Island.

 

HAWAIʻI ISLAND COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases: 7,569

New Cases: 139

Deaths: 59

Daily Case Average: 143

Current Hospitalizations: 70

Positivity Rate: 9.4%

Fatality Rate: .8%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 1898

 

Kauaʻi

New COVID Cases: 34

Total COVID Case Count: 1277

 

Maui

New COVID Cases: 73

Total COVID Case Count: 7628

 

Oʻahu

New COVID Cases: 468

Total COVID Case Count: 44,334
