County Extending Hours for Hilo and Kona Driver’s Licensing Offices

To help process expired or expiring credentials, Hawaiʻi County will be extending operating hours at two Driver’s Licensing Offices.

The extended hours of operation are as follows: •

Hilo :

Saturday, October 16, 2021 – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Kona:

Thursday, October 21, 2021 -7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Friday, October 22, 2021 – 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 23, 2021 – 8:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.

Tuesday, October 26, 2021 – 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, October 27, 2021 -7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Additional appointments may be offered online for pre-bookings and walk-ins with credentials that are expired or will be expiring within the next 30 days may be accommodated, pending availability.

The Department of Finance  reminds residents that expired driver’s licenses, state IDs, and instructional permits (other than commercial) shall remain valid until November 30, 2021.
