Hawaiʻi County Driver’s Licensing Offices Offering Further Extended Hours

Driver’s Licensing offices across Hawaiʻi County will continue to extend operating hours at their Hilo, Kona, and Waimea locations to help process expired or expiring credentials.

The extended hours of operation are as follows:

Hilo

  • Saturday, 10/23 – 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10/30 – 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Kona

  • Thursday, 10/21 – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 10/22 – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10/23 – 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 10/26 – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 10/27 – 7:00 a.m. to  5:30 p.m.

Waimea

  • Saturday, 10/30 – 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Additional appointments may be offered online for pre-bookings and walk-ins with credentials that are expired or will be expiring within the next 30 days may be accommodated, pending availability.  Expired driver’s licenses, state IDs, and instructional permits (other than commercial) shall remain valid until 11/30/2021.
