Police Ask Public’s Assistance in Locating Wanted Puna Couple

Hawai‘i Island Police are asking the public to help them locate 31-year-old Ammon Kanekoa Kamohai and 37-year-old Michelle Margaret Kamohai as they are wanted for questioning relative to several ongoing burglary and vehicle theft investigations.  The couple also have several outstanding warrants.

Ammon Kamohai is described as 5 feet 8 inches, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown with numerous tattoos, including on his neck and face. Michelle Kamohai is described as 5 feet 6 inches, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the Kamohai’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Lieutenant Rio Amon-Wilkins of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2252, or email at Rio.Amon-Wilkins@hawaiicounty.gov.
