Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking the public to help them locate vehicles that were removed from the DLNR Forest and Wildlife Division baseyard in Hilo earlier this week.

Between the evening hours of November 23 to morning of November 24, unknown suspects cut the front gate padlocks and forcefully entered the office area at the DLNR Forest and Wildlife Division on E. Kawili Street in Hilo.  Numerous sets of vehicle and ATV keys were removed.

The suspect’s proceeded to remove two State of Hawai’i vehicles; a 2007 gold Toyota pickup truck, and a silver 2018 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a black Great Northern tilt trailer carrying a 2016 dark green Polaris Ranger UTV.

On Wednesday, November 24, officers assigned to the Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), located the stolen 2007 gold Toyota pickup at a private residence on Plumeria Street in Mountain View, Hawaiʻi.

Police ask anyone who may have information regarding the burglary or the whereabouts of the other stolen vehicles to contact the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
