DOH Reports 3875 New Statewide COVID Cases

The State Department of Health reports 3875 new cases of coronavirus with no new COVID-19 related deaths.  The following data includes confirmed and probable cases up until Saturday, January 8, 2022.  Full data is posted on the State COVID-19 dashboard and on the DOH Disease Outbreak & Control Division website: hawaiicovid19.com/dashboard.

 

 

 

 

STATEWIDE COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases  147,099

New Cases: 3875

Deaths: 1,105

Daily Case Average: 3438

Current Hospitalizations: 328

Positivity Rate: 20.6%

Fatality Rate: .8%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 41,725

 

The DOH reports 348 new cases of coronavirus with no new COVID-19 related deaths on Hawaiʻi Island.

 

HAWAIʻI ISLAND COVID-19 COUNTS:

Total Cases: 16,099

New Cases: 348

Deaths: 157

Daily Case Average: 303

Current Hospitalizations: 54

Positivity Rate: 20.4%

Fatality Rate: 1%

Cases Reported in the Last Two Weeks: 3533

 

Kauaʻi

New COVID Cases: 134

Total COVID Case Count: 5447

 

Maui

New COVID Cases: 584

Total COVID Case Count: 16,969

 

Oʻahu

New COVID Cases: 2761

Total COVID Case Count: 104,574
