Hawai‘i Island police have charged 45-year-old Nicholas Taylor in connection with an incident that took place at a Volcano area school on the morning of Friday, January 7, 2022.

Police officers determined that Taylor had walked onto the school grounds during recess and exposed his buttocks to teachers and students and fled upon being confronted by school staff.

Puna patrol officers located Taylor a short distance away from the school where he was taken into custody without incident. After conferral with the Prosecutor’s Office, Taylor was charged with disorderly conduct and open lewdness and his bail was set at $1,000.
