Beginning Wednesday, January 26 through mid-February, the County of Hawai’i Department of Public Works Traffic Division will begin layout and re-striping operations on Aliʻi Drive from Kaʻahumanu Place to Kahakai Road in North Kona from 8:30am to 2pm weather permitting.

Northbound motorists should expect intermittent one-lane closures with detours through Likana Lane & Hualālai Road. Police officers will be stationed onsite to facilitate traffic movements, and warning signs will be posted for the layout and striping work. In addition to roadway re-striping, the work also includes re-striping of loading zones/parking stalls and installing raised pavement markers and crosswalks.
