Jason Momoa is set to make his television writing debut on a new Apple TV+ series that tells the story of Hawaiʻi’s colonization.

Apple TV+ has given a straight-to-series order for 8 episode of the series entitled “Chief of War” which  tells the story of the unification and colonization of Hawai’i from an indigenous point of view.

The project, which  hails from Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment, was created by Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.  Momoa will also executive produce and star in the series.
