On Thursday, April 21, Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI) will hold events on Hawaiʻi Island focused on lowering costs for working families during the Senate State Work Period.

The Senator will visit the KTA Super Store in Hilo to discuss the DA BUX program and efforts to lower food costs. Later in the day, she will tour the Kolekole Bridge to discuss infrastructure investments in Hawaii. She will then visit the class of Whitney Aragaki, Hawaii’s 2022 Teacher of the Year and end the day with a visit to the Merrie Monarch craft festival.
