This May, military units are scheduled to conduct essential training activities at Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA).  Training can occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week on PTA in the restricted airspace.  Essential training is subject to change based on safety, weather and other environmental factors. Weather, such as overcast conditions can increase noise and vibrations. Should individuals hear noise, there is no immediate danger.

The May training schedule is as follows:

• May 1-20 Army helicopter gunnery live fire
• May 20-31 Army small arms and artillery live fire
• May 27-31 Army artillery live fire exercise (Sound and effects may be louder and more concentrated)
• May 30 No live fire will take place during Memorial Day

No convoys and hunting opportunities are scheduled for this month. If the situation changes, an additional advisory will be published.
