Hawaiʻi Defeats Texas in Little League World Series

Honolulu beat Texas 6-0 in the Little League World Series.

The win put Honolulu in the U.S. semifinals which will take place tomorrow against Tennessee.

Starting pitcher Cohen Sakamoto struck out seven with two walks and no hits in four innings. Jonnovyn Sniffen threw a no-hitter with a strikeout and a walk in 0.2 innings, while ace Jaron Lancaster recorded the final four outs but gave up a hit to Kaiden Shelton to begin the top of the sixth.

At the plate, Lancaster hit a two-run homer and triple, while Daly Watson also hit a homer.

The winner of tomorrow’s game between Hawai’i and Tennessee, which airs on ESPN, will advance to Saturday’s United States bracket championship game.
