Pohakuloa Training Center

This month, military units are scheduled to conduct essential training activities at Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA).  Training can occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week on PTA in the restricted airspace.  Essential training is subject to change based on safety, weather and other environmental factors. Weather, such as overcast conditions can increase noise and vibrations. Should individuals hear noise, there is no immediate danger.

The September training schedule is as follows:

  • Sept 19-23 Army combined arms live fire. Training will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
  • Sept 26-30 Marine combined arms live fire. Training will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
  • Sept 28-30 Army demolitions training. Training will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.

There are no convoys currently planned for the month of September.

Individuals with concerns related to noise or training can contact U.S. Army Hawaiʻi’s Community Concern Line at (808) 656-3487 or usag.hawaii.comrel@army.mil.
