The Hawai‘i County Police Department is holding three Coffee with a Cop events in Kona this month.

Monthly Coffee With a Cop events are designed to give the public the opportunity to get to know their law enforcement officers in a casual environment while enjoying refreshments.  Conversation topics can range from community issues to personal anecdotes.

“We enjoy interacting with the public and hearing what they have to say. We never know what topics they will bring up,” says community policing officer Dwayne Sluss in a press release.

Below is detailed information on this monthʻs events:

  • Wednesday, November 9 – Kona Haven Coffee Co., at the Coconut Grove Marketplace, 75-5805 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona, 8am-10am.
  • Friday, November 18 – Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Dr. Kailua-Kona, 8am-10am.
  • Friday, November 25 – Kona Coffee & Tea, 74-5588 Palani Rd. Kailua-Kona, 8am-10am.

Any questions regarding Coffee With a Cop events can be directed to the Kona Community Policing at (808) 326-4646 Ext. 257, 258, or 259.
