The Food Basket’s 5th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Taking Place This Weekend

After a 2 year pandemic hiatus, the Food Basket is holding its “5th Annual ‘Turkey Trot’ 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser Race” at the Fairmont Orchid on Saturday, November 19.

The annual “Bay to Breakers” style race, features a costumed lead Turkey, as well as racing enthusiasts

All proceeds raised by this event will go directly to The Food Basket.

“We spend so much of the year striving to help families and others on Hawaii island with their everyday struggles of putting food on the table. With the overwhelming need at times, it can weigh heavy on our collective hearts to see so many in crisis”, says Kristin Frost Albrecht, Executive Director of The Food Basket in a press release.

Event registration can be found at http://www.FairmontOrchid.com/events/turkey-trot.

Runners/walkers can also sign up the day of the event at 6:30 a.m. at the Plantation Estate on the grounds of the Fairmont Orchid.

Pre-Registration is $45 adults/$35 for 13-17yrs./FREE for 12-under. At the Door Registration is $50/$40 for 13-17yrs./ 12 under are still free and a “Keiki Only Trot” will happen right after the main race event!
