Hawaiʻi County Information Technology Director, Scott Uehara has accepted a position within the County’s Civil Defense Administration to focus on emergency communications systems. Uehara, who has held his I.T. position since December 2020, will begin his new role on May 1, 2023.  He will assist Mayor Roth in the search for his replacement. There is no named interim Director at this time.

In a statement Mayor Roth said, “Our administration would like to thank Scott for his service as I.T. Director and looks forward to continued work together in his new role.”
