The Kona Community Policing Section and Aloha Maps have launched the second annual Hydro Flask drive for in need West Hawaiʻi students.

New hydro flasks or refillable water bottles can be dropped off at the Kona police station located at 74-611 Hale Mākaʻi Place in Kailua-Kona now through August 31.

During the pandemic, many schools added water filling stations to prevent students from sharing old style water fountains. Due to this change many schools have added costly hydro flasks to their supply lists which can pose a financial strain on some families.

Last year’s drive brought in 400 hydro flasks and refillable water bottles were donated throughout the community.
